Triggers

3 min read

Triggers are a unique TradeOn feature that lets you configure your live feed in more detail; at the moment triggers are in beta, and we are actively continuing to work on them and improve them. Let's look at the triggers that are available right now.

  1. Trigger "Orders in stock"

This trigger helps you perform an extra check of the buy or sell orders available on the selected platforms. It is useful for finding items with a good number of auto-buy orders at the right price, or for finding items that have many sell orders. This is especially important for traders who want to analyze market volumes and find the best offers.

    Example:
Let's say you are looking for an item with auto-buy orders at $10. The trigger lets you configure it so that the system searches for items that have buy orders within 10% of $10. If there is a sufficient number of orders in this range (for example, 5 or more), the item passes the check and appears in the list.

    Trigger setup:

    1. Choose the price type (from site 1 or from site 2).
    2. Specify the order type (buy order or sell order).
    3. Set the slippage percentage (for example, 10% of the price).
    4. Specify the minimum number of orders that must be in stock.

    How it works:
When the system finds an item, it takes its price, subtracts the set slippage percentage, and then checks the number of orders in this range. If the number of orders matches or exceeds the value set in the settings, the item passes further.

  2. Trigger "Sales over a period"

This trigger lets you check the sales history of items and sort them by the number of sales made at a price above or below a given value over a certain period. It is the perfect tool for those who want to analyze sales activity and find items that have stable demand at the right price.

    Example:
You want to find items that sold for more than $20 over the last 7 days. With this trigger you can configure the table so that it shows only the items that match the selected sales criterion for the required period of time.

    Trigger setup:

    1. Choose the price type (from site 1 or from site 2).
    2. Specify whether you want to look for sales above or below the given price.
    3. Set the number of confirmations (the number of sales, for example 3 times) that must occur over the selected period.
    4. Specify the time period (for example, 7 days).

    How it works:
The table takes the item's price and checks how many sales were made over the specified period of time at a price above or below the selected one, depending on your request. If the number of sales exceeds the minimum set value, the item passes the check and appears in the table.
